For over a decade, I’ve worked professionally as a musician, composer, producer and mix engineer. My experience has familiarized me with several key areas in both music composition and audio engineering. Being a producer for a wide variety of artists has taught me the importance of following a vision when creating music and working carefully to stay true to it’s intention. As a producer and composer, I am always seeking ways to keep the listener engaged while letting an arc and narrative unfold seamlessly.

As an engineer, I have learned the importance of time management, efficient work-flow, file management and organization as well as proper backup and archival methods. I strongly feel that logic and process are fundamental to achieving professional results but also consider audio engineering an art. I listen deeply for effective ways to highlight the most relevant auditory information.

I love the way that music, when presented with intention and care, can convey emotion, conjure vivid imagery and connect a listener intimately with people, places and narratives. As a former student of Ethnomusicology and lifelong musician, I’ve always been interested in the ways that music and sound create meaning within culture.

My experience working with record labels, publishing companies, mastering engineers and a diverse set of clients has taught me the significance of clear communication and establishing quality control processes. A major component of working with any client of mine is having a shared consciousness around the work we are creating. I communicate frequently and do not hesitate to ask questions for clarity. I fully welcome any and all feedback as it helps me achieve the results that satisfy both the client and myself.
